The design of these seven places in the bathroom is the “wisest” choice I have made when decorating. After staying for several years, the more comfortable I really am, the more comfortable I am.
1. No ordinary water retaining strip
Presumably, many families have decorated their bathrooms with raised water barriers, right? In fact, this kind of water barrier really looks a bit abrupt.
If I redecorate it again, I will lower the floor of the bathroom area by about 2CM, making it a sunken design that looks much cleaner, natural, and has a good water retaining effect.
2. Do not make two floor drains
During the bathroom renovation, a floor drain was installed beside the toilet and in the bathroom, which increased the cost and did not appear to have a strong sense of integration.
If I redecorate, I will install a floor drain in the middle of the toilet and bathroom, which not only meets the water demand during bathing, but also matches with a water scraper to remove water stains on the floor in the bathroom.
3. Toilet armrest
If you have elderly people and children in your home, it is best to set up a handrail beside the toilet, especially for elderly people in your home. You can let the elderly stand up or sit down, because many elderly people have high blood pressure problems. This design can to some extent prevent them from having inconvenient legs and feet or going to the bathroom for a long time, resulting in dizziness and fainting.
If the wall of your bathroom does not support wall drainage, you can set the sewer pipe to a rear position. Place the drain pipe under the basin behind to drain water against the wall.
This design does not occupy the storage space under the basin under the platform, but also makes it convenient for us to clean the bathroom. Whether it’s a mop or a brush, it can easily clean the sanitary dead corner under the wash basin.
5. Integrated basin
To avoid getting wet in the bathroom, we can choose an integrated basin design when decorating.
This is often easily overlooked, so everyone should not struggle to install both on and off stage basins. An integrated design is the best choice.

Therefore, selecting an integrated design can avoid similar situations and achieve a visually pleasing effect.
6. Toilet spray gun
